We hear a lot about the cybersecurity workforce shortage, but the data in the U.S. shows a more nuanced story; especially when it comes to entry-level jobs and their corresponding talent. The profession doesn’t lack interested, or talented, candidates. It lacks experienced candidates that organizations often define as “qualified,” while overlooking the impossibility of creating experienced cyber professionals without a gateway and pathway to get them there.
In this discussion, we’ll examine innovative ways we can overcome this paradox using data-driven approaches to attracting, hiring, and advancing cybersecurity talent. We’ll consider the role of assessments and the insights they can provide both individuals navigating their own cybersecurity career, as well as organizations looking to build a more resilient and diverse cybersecurity team.
