Simone Petrella is President of N2K Networks, where she leads the development and delivery of strategic workforce intelligence solutions in cybersecurity and oversees the "news to knowledge" mission of N2K CyberWire and N2K's talent insights and benchmarking capabilities, using data-driven analysis to give cybersecurity leaders objective visibility into the current state of their teams so they can make smarter talent management decisions.
Before serving in her current role, Simone Petrella was founder and CEO of CyberVista, a company created with the mission of solving the skills gap across the cybersecurity workforce by changing the way that organizations approach team knowledge, skills, and abilities. Simone has spent over 15 years in cybersecurity, specializing in cyber threat intelligence in support of the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.
For a decade Simone led an all source cyber threat intelligence business in the national security and defense sectors, where she built out a threat capability and team with in-depth subject matter expertise in all aspects of cyber threat intelligence, including intelligence support to both defensive and offensive operations. Her areas of specialty included predictive cyber intelligence based on an understanding of the threat adversary and developing service offerings to integrate intelligence into exercises to provide realistic cyber scenarios. Simone received her J.D. from Catholic University's Columbus School of Law and is a proud Hoya, receiving a M.A. in International Law and Policy and B.A from Georgetown University. She is a proud mom who loves travel, a former competitive ice skater, and an aspiring photographer.
