Based on a Ph.D. in AI, this presentation will discuss the factors behind adding AI skills to the U.S. cybersecurity workforce, aiming at faster adoption of AI and more robust cybersecurity. It covers research findings on trusted channels for AI information, integration of AI techniques into cybersecurity tools, inclusion of AI for cybersecurity in U.S. laws and regulations, organizational awareness of AI for better teamwork, operational readiness of AI techniques for cybersecurity practices, and the value of communicating to cybersecurity professionals the real-life use cases of AI for cyber defense and cyberattacks.
Furthermore, based on the research findings, this session will recommend a set of actions to add AI skills to the U.S. cybersecurity workforce and expedite the adoption of AI techniques for strengthening U.S. cybersecurity.
