Creating a plan for when a cybersecurity incident hits is no longer an option for most organizations, but a requirement. For many, Cybersecurity Incident Response Plans (CIRPs) have been in place for some time and have never undergone an update. Unfortunately, for many CIRPs, the documentation does not align with industry best standards and, potentially, may cause more confusion during the midst of an incident, thus militating the required response.
